Example: a bag of chicken jerky (made-up numbers)
One batch of jerky fills fifteen bags. Here is what each bag costs.

One batch of chicken jerky costs ฿450 and fills 15 bags, so ฿30 of treats a bag. Add a ฿5 zip bag and ฿10 of your time, and the true cost is ฿45. Sell the bag at ฿129 and you keep ฿84, a margin of about 65%. Now you know the market price isn't too high.
Adding 50% to the cost does not mean you keep 50%
How to price pet treats: margin, not markup
Margin is the share of the price you keep after the true cost. With made-up numbers, a ฿45 bag plus a 50% markup sells at about ฿68 and leaves about ฿23. You keep a third, not half.

FAQ
Pet treat pricing questions, bag by bag
How do I price homemade dog treats?
Start from the true cost of one bag, then pick the margin you want. Cost the batch at what you paid, shipping included, and say how many bags it fills. KamraiDee does the division and adds the zip bag and, if you count it, your time. Then price from margin at /tools/pricing.
Is it only for dog treats?
No. It works for any treat you make in batches and sell by the bag, for dogs, cats or other pets. You enter your own recipes.
Should I count oven time in the cost?
If you want to. Add the minutes a batch takes and an hourly rate, and that cost is shared across the bags it fills. Leave it blank and it adds nothing.
Is KamraiDee free for pet treat makers?
Yes. KamraiDee is free to join. Every shop type gets the same app. That means stock with shipping in the cost, recipes with how many bags a batch fills, products with their profit, packaging included, and labels printed from your recipe for your bags. You also get a waste log in baht, orders and a calendar. Customers pay you directly with your PromptPay QR. See the pricing page at /pricing.
