Quick count

What it does

When to use

• You counted something on the pass and want the words on today’s list.
• The number should stay a note, not a stock quantity.
• You want today’s notes for the shop’s day, plus recent days.

Examples

• Tray count: today, “12 brownie trays on the rack”. Stock quantity stays put.
• Open bags: “3 bags open, 1 still sealed”. It is a note. It is not a seal book.
• Yesterday: open the recent list and fix a word. Formula and materials list stay put.

When not to use

• Free stock quantity, a stock adjustment, or a scale reading. Never.
• Pack-label checklist. Allergen line, date line, or a seal tap. Never.
• Packaging seal check. Formula, materials list, or cost. Never.
