Portion count note

What it does

When to use

• You portioned a dish and want the words on today’s list.
• The number should stay a note, not a recipe yield and not a stock quantity.
• You want today’s notes for the shop’s day, plus recent days.

Examples

• Brownie slices: dish “Sat brownie”, today, “24 slices, 6 left”. Stock quantity stays put.
• Soup cups: “12 cups poured”. It is a note. It is not a recipe yield.
• Yesterday: open the recent list and fix a word. Formula and materials list stay put.

When not to use

• Quick count. A count that is not tied to a dish nickname. Never.
• Prep photos. A station photo link. Never.
• Free stock quantity, formula, or materials list. Never.
