Hold back items
Hold a batch with a reason and release it when it is ready.
What it does
When to use
- A batch should stay off the pass until you say it can go.
- You want the reason in words, and a time when you release it.
- You want today’s cards for the shop’s day, plus recent days.
Examples
- Saturday brownie: nickname “Sat brownie”, today, reason “waiting on the nut batch”, status held.
- Release: same card, status released. The timestamp appears. It is not a seal check.
- Wrong card: status void. Formula and materials list stay put.
When not to use
- Allergen changeover (Allergen clean-down). A from-to clean log. Never.
- Packaging seal check. Width, squeeze, photos, or a seal pass. Never.
- A recall filing, a certificate, Free formula, materials list, cost, or stock quantity. Never.
Features
- New card. Batch nickname, the shop’s day, and the hold reason. Status starts as held.
- Save as released when it can go. The book writes the release time once. You do not type it.
- Void leaves the card on the list without a release time. Stock quantity stays put.
